Under new legislation Chiropody First processes information held on patient's files that came into force concerning the protection and processing of people's personal data.
Chiropody First holds certain personal data about each person who attends the surgery for treatment, such as, their name, address, date of birth, medications they take and illnesses they have now or have suffered from in this past. This information is necessary for treatment to be carried out safely.
Chiropody First will only share this information with other medical personnel if there is an urgent need to do so in that the patient's health may be jeopardised if the information were not forthcoming.
Files and treatment cards are kept securely locked and no other persons other than the chiropodist has access to this information.
You have a right to see what information is held on file about yourself and should you require to see a copy of your personal data this will be made available to you by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
